Preparation
Rinse the fresh cranberries under cold water and sort through them, discarding any damaged or mushy ones.
In your crockpot, add the rinsed cranberries followed by the cup of sugar, ensuring it coats the berries well.
Pour in the cup of orange juice, then add the ground cinnamon, orange marmalade, and water.
Stir the ingredients together gently to distribute the sugar evenly.
Cooking
Cover the crockpot and set it to low for about 6 to 8 hours.
Check for consistency towards the end of cooking; if too runny, remove the lid and continue cooking for an additional 30 minutes.
Serving
Once the sauce has reached the desired consistency, turn off the crockpot and let it cool before serving.
Serve alongside holiday turkey, on sandwiches, with breakfast, or over cream cheese as an appetizer.
