Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup natural nut butter (like almond or peanut butter) Creamy options work best.
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup Adjust based on sweetness preference.
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder Can substitute with chocolate or cookies and cream flavor.
  • 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips Unsweetened options can be used to reduce sugar.
  • 1/4 cup ground flaxseed
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • a pinch salt

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, protein powder, ground flaxseed, and salt. Mix thoroughly.
  • Add the nut butter and honey (or maple syrup) to the dry ingredients. Mix until well combined; this may require some effort as the mixture can be thick.
  • Stir in the vanilla extract and continue mixing until everything is evenly incorporated.
  • Fold in the mini chocolate chips, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
  • Once everything is well mixed, use your hands to form small balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
  • Place the formed balls on a baking sheet or plate lined with parchment paper.
  • Refrigerate the cookie dough protein balls for at least 30 minutes to allow them to firm up before serving.
