  • 1 cup cottage cheese Use well-blended for smooth texture.
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips Good-quality chocolate is recommended.
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder Adjust based on preference for richness.
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup Adjust to taste.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract For added flavor.
  • 1 pinch salt Enhances flavor.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Melt the dark chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl, heating in 30-second intervals and stirring in between until smooth.
  • In a food processor, combine the cottage cheese, melted chocolate, cocoa powder, honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.
  • Blend the mixture until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed.
  • Taste the mousse and adjust the sweetness if necessary, then blend again to mix in any additional sweetener.

Chilling

  • Transfer the mousse into serving cups or bowls and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to an hour before serving.
