Ingredients
  

For the cheese mixture

  • 2 cups cottage cheese
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • to taste Salt and pepper

For the lasagna assembly

  • 9 pieces lasagna noodles, uncooked
  • 2 cups marinara sauce divided
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese for topping
  • 1 cup chopped spinach
  • Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large bowl, mix the cottage cheese, ricotta cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  • Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce across the bottom of a large baking dish.

Layering

  • Lay three uncooked lasagna noodles over the sauce, ensuring they do not touch.
  • Spread one-third of the cottage cheese mixture over the noodles, then add a layer of chopped spinach.
  • Pour another layer of marinara sauce over the spinach.
  • Repeat the process two more times: noodles, cottage cheese mixture, spinach, and marinara sauce.
  • For the final layer, place the last three noodles on top and cover with the remaining marinara sauce.
  • Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the entire dish.

Baking

  • Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
  • Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  • Let it cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.

Notes
