  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika (smoked or sweet)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for searing)

For the Sauce

  • ½ cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (plus extra for garnish)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh dill, chopped (optional but recommended)
  • Juice of 1 lemon (about 2 tablespoons)
  • ½ cup chicken broth (or water for a lighter option)
  • ½ cup heavy cream

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Pat the chicken breasts dry with a paper towel.
  • Season each breast generously with salt, black pepper, and paprika.

Cooking

  • Heat a tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Sear the seasoned chicken breasts for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  • Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add the softened butter to melt.
  • Stir in the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Mix in the Dijon mustard, and add red pepper flakes, parsley, and dill.
  • Squeeze the lemon juice into the skillet and add the chicken broth.
  • Pour in the heavy cream and mix well, letting the sauce simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  • Return the seared chicken breasts to the skillet, coating them with the sauce.
  • Cover the skillet with a lid and let cook for another 8-10 minutes, checking the internal temperature to reach 165°F (75°C).
