  • 1 round loaf sourdough or French boule Choose a high-quality loaf for best results.
  • 16 ounces brie cheese Fresh brie cheese enhances the flavor.
  • 1/2 cup cranberry sauce Homemade or high-quality store-bought sauce works best.
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans Can be substituted with other nuts or omitted.
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted For brushing on the bread.
  • to taste fresh thyme For garnishing.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  • Carefully cut the round loaf of soudeough or French boule into 1-inch cubes without cutting all the way through.
  • Cut the brie cheese into small chunks and tuck them between the bread cubes.
  • Spoon the cranberry sauce generously in between the cuts of bread.
  • Sprinkle the chopped pecans throughout the bread.
  • Brush the outer part of the loaf with melted butter.

Baking

  • Place the prepared loaf on a lined baking sheet and bake for 15 to 20 minutes until the cheese is bubbling and the bread is golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and sprinkle fresh thyme over the top.

Serving

  • Allow the bread to cool slightly before serving. Serve warm to enjoy the gooey cheese.
