Preparation

  • Rinse your fresh cranberries under running water and discard any damaged or shriveled berries.
  • In a medium-sized saucepan, combine the rinsed cranberries, sugar, and fresh orange juice.

Cooking

  • Place the saucepan on medium heat and allow the mixture to come to a gentle simmer, stirring occasionally for about 10-15 minutes.
  • When the cranberries start to burst and the sauce thickens, remove from heat and stir in the zested orange.

Cooling and Serving

  • Let your Cranberry Orange Sauce cool to room temperature, then transfer to an airtight container and refrigerate.
