Ingredients
  

Pasta and Base Ingredients

  • 8 ounces uncooked pasta Use any pasta shape you prefer.
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened Cut into smaller pieces for easier melting.
  • 1 tablespoon butter, softened

Seasonings

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes Optional for heat.
  • 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1-2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley Optional for garnish.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Start by bringing a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  • Once boiling, add your uncooked pasta and cook it according to package directions until al dente (about 8 to 10 minutes).
  • Before draining your pasta, reserve at least one cup of the hot pasta water.
  • While the pasta is boiling, cut your cream cheese into smaller pieces and soften it in the microwave for about 20 to 30 seconds.

Combining

  • Drain the pasta and return it to the pot.
  • Add the softened cream cheese and butter, then cover the pot with a lid for about a minute to meld the flavors.
  • Uncover and add garlic powder, onion powder, optional red pepper flakes, Italian seasoning, chopped parsley, and 1/4 cup of reserved pasta water.

Finishing

  • Toss everything together until the cream cheese melts and creates a creamy sauce.
  • Adjust the consistency with more reserved pasta water if needed and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve immediately for the best taste and texture.

Notes

For best results, allow cream cheese to soften properly and don't rush the mixing process. Customize with vegetables or proteins as desired.
