Instructions
In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Whisk in the flour and cook for about a minute.
Slowly pour in the milk while whisking continuously to avoid lumps. Let the sauce simmer for about five minutes until thickened.
Add the chopped dried beef and black pepper to the sauce, stirring well. Cook for another two minutes to warm the beef through.
Taste and adjust salt as needed. Serve immediately over warm toast.
