Preparation

  • Place the chicken breast at the bottom of the slow cooker.
  • Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream, and season with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  • Stir gently to combine all ingredients.

Cooking

  • Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours.
  • About 30 minutes before serving, add the uncooked pasta along with any optional ingredients like diced tomatoes and spinach.
  • Stir the mixture to ensure that the pasta is well submerged in the creamy sauce.
  • After 30 minutes, check that the pasta is tender and stir in the shredded cheese until melted.
