  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • as needed Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions
 

Cooking Chicken

  • Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until it shimmers.
  • Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
  • Add the chicken to the skillet and cook for about 6 to 7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest on a plate.

Making the Sauce

  • In the same skillet, add 1 tablespoon of minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Stir in 2 tablespoons of Dijon mustard and 1/2 cup of heavy cream, mixing well to bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.
  • Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and coat each piece with the sauce. Simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Use a meat thermometer to ensure chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C). Letting the chicken rest after cooking helps retain juiciness.
