Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 packet ranch dressing mix (1 oz)
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup (10.5 oz)
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • optional Chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Place the boneless, skinless chicken breasts in the bottom of the crock pot.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the ranch dressing mix with the cream of chicken soup and chicken broth until smooth.
  • Pour the mixture over the chicken, ensuring it is well covered.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Cooking

  • Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours.
  • Check for doneness about 30 minutes before the cooking time ends.
  • Using two forks, shred the chicken in the crock pot.
  • Stir in the sour cream and shredded cheddar cheese until combined.
  • Cover and cook on low for another 30 minutes.

Serving

  • Serve the Creamy Ranch Chicken over rice, pasta, or fresh vegetables.
  • Garnish with chopped green onions if desired.

Notes
