Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 oz packet ranch dressing mix (1 oz)
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup (10.5 oz)
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • to taste None Salt and pepper
  • as desired None Chopped green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Place the boneless, skinless chicken breasts at the bottom of your crock pot.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the ranch dressing mix, cream of chicken soup, and chicken broth. Stir until well blended.
  • Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken breasts in the crock pot and season with salt and pepper.

Cooking

  • Cover the crock pot and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours, or on high for 3 to 4 hours.
  • About 30 minutes before serving, check the chicken for doneness. Shred if cooked through.
  • Add the sour cream and shredded cheddar cheese. Stir until combined and cheese is melted.
  • Cover and cook for another 30 minutes on low.

Serving

  • Garnish with chopped green onions and serve over rice, pasta, or greens.

Notes

For a vegetarian option, substitute chicken with chickpeas. You can customize the spice level or cheese types as desired. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
