(or vegetable broth for vegetarian)

half and half

lemon juice

finely grated Parmesan cheese

fresh spinach

ziti rigati
(or penne)
Instructions
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
In a skillet, melt butter over medium-low heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant and slightly browned.
Whisk in flour and cook for about 2 minutes until it darkens slightly.
Gradually pour in the chicken broth, whisking constantly to prevent lumps. Then stir in the half and half.
Add oregano, parsley, mustard powder, garlic powder, and lemon juice. Stir well and reduce heat to low.
Mix in Parmesan cheese until melted, then add spinach and let it wilt in the sauce.
Add the drained pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. Adjust seasoning as needed.
Serve hot, optionally garnished with extra Parmesan and lemon wedges.
