  • 1 pound shrimp (31-40 count size), thawed and peeled Opt for fresh or properly thawed shrimp.
  • 2 tablespoons butter Melt in a large skillet.
  • 1 teaspoon flour Used for thickening the sauce.
  • 4-5 cloves garlic, minced Fragrance adds depth of flavor.
  • 1 cup heavy/whipping cream Can substitute with chicken or vegetable broth for a lighter version.
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice Adds brightness to the dish.
  • 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped or julienned Provides a rich flavor.
  • 1-2 cups fresh baby spinach, packed Must be added in the last two minutes of cooking.
  • Handful fresh basil, cut into thin strips Enhances flavor.
  • to taste Salt and pepper For seasoning.

Cooking Instructions

  • Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Sprinkle in the flour and stir continuously for about a minute to create a roux.
  • Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Pour in the heavy cream, followed by the lemon juice, Italian seasoning, and chopped sun-dried tomatoes. Simmer for around two minutes.
  • Add the shrimp and cook for approximately five minutes until they turn pink and opaque.
  • In the last two minutes, add the fresh spinach and basil, stirring until the spinach wilts.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste, and serve immediately.
