Ingredients
  

For the Potatoes

  • 4 medium-sized potatoes (such as Russet or Yukon Gold) Starchy potatoes work best for crispiness.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Can substitute with avocado or canola oil.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • to taste fresh herbs for garnish (optional) Use any herbs you prefer.

Preparation

  • Wash the potatoes thoroughly under cold water. Use a brush to scrub away any dirt.
  • Cut the potatoes into even-sized cubes or wedges, approximately 1-inch thick.

Cooking

  • In a large bowl, combine the potato pieces with the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Toss well to coat the potatoes evenly.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • Once preheated, place the seasoned potatoes in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  • Cook the potatoes for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  • After cooking, check for doneness and give more time if they need to be crispier.
  • Remove the fried potatoes from the air fryer and let them cool for a couple of minutes before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days in the refrigerator. Reheat in the air fryer at 380°F (193°C) for 5-7 minutes to regain crispiness.
