Crock Pot Angel Chicken

Ingredients
  

For the chicken

  • 1.5 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1-2 tablespoons vegetable oil For searing the chicken
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

For the sauce

  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened Ensure it's at room temperature for easy mixing
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 10.5 ounces can cream of chicken soup
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¾ cup chicken broth
  • 1 packet Good Seasons Dry Italian Salad Dressing Mix

For serving

  • 16 ounces angel hair pasta Cook according to package instructions

Preparation

  • Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  • Once the skillet is hot, add the seasoned chicken breasts and sear for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and butter until smooth. Add cream of chicken soup, minced garlic, chicken broth, and Italian dressing mix; mix well.
  • Spray the inside of the crock pot with non-stick cooking spray. Place the seared chicken at the bottom and pour the creamy sauce over it.
  • Cover and cook on low heat for 3-4 hours.
  • About 10 minutes before serving, cook the angel hair pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • Once cooked, serve the creamy chicken and sauce over the angel hair pasta.

Notes

For added flavor, garnish with fresh herbs. You can also mix in vegetables for a more nutritious meal or add cheese for a richer dish.
