  • 8 oz cream cheese Place on top of the chicken for the best melting.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Try Monterey Jack or Pepper Jack for variation.

Preparation

  • Prepare your crock pot by placing the chicken breasts at the bottom, arranging them side by side.
  • Sprinkle the ranch seasoning mix generously over the chicken.
  • Pour the chicken broth over the seasoned chicken.
  • Place the cream cheese on top of the chicken and seasoning.

Cooking

  • Cover the crock pot and set it to cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or high for 3 to 4 hours.

Finishing

  • Once cooked, use two forks to shred the chicken right in the crock pot.
  • Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and combined.
  • Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper before serving.
  • Garnish with chopped chives or parsley before serving.
