Ingredients
  

For the Roast

  • 2-3 pounds tri tip roast Look for a tri tip roast with good marbling.

For the Cooking Liquid

  • 1 cup beef broth Provides moisture and flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce Add depth of flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce Enhances savory taste.

For Seasoning

  • 1 teaspoon salt Season to taste.
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper Adjust based on preference.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Adds extra flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder For an aromatic touch.

Aromatics

  • 1 medium onion, sliced Enhances flavor.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Adds aromatic quality.

Optional Garnish

  • fresh herbs For topping before serving.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Pour 1 cup of beef broth into the bottom of your crock pot.
  • Add the sliced onion and minced garlic directly to the broth.
  • Pour in 2 tablespoons of soy sauce and 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce.
  • Season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  • Place the tri tip roast in the crock pot and coat it with the liquid and seasonings.

Cooking

  • Cover the crock pot and cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 4-5 hours.
  • Once cooked, carefully remove the tri tip from the crock pot.
  • Let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.

Serving

  • Slice the roast against the grain and serve drizzled with cooking juices.
  • Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
