Crockpot BBQ Chicken

An easy and flavorful BBQ chicken recipe made in the slow cooker, perfect for busy weeknights or casual gatherings.

Ingredients
  

  • 3–4 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce (your favorite brand)
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3–4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth

Instructions
 

  • Trim excess fat from the chicken breasts and place them in the bottom of the crockpot.
  • Chop the onion and mince the garlic, then sprinkle them over the chicken.
  • Pour the barbecue sauce over the chicken, coating it generously.
  • Pour the chicken broth around the edges of the crockpot.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  • Once cooked, shred the chicken in the pot using two forks and mix it with the sauce.
  • Serve on buns, in tacos, over rice, or on a salad.
