Instructions
Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat, seasoning with salt and pepper.
Add diced green bell pepper, yellow onion, and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
Drain any excess fat from the skillet, then transfer the mixture to the crockpot.
Add chili powder, cumin, ground chipotle, cayenne pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and liquid smoke to the crockpot.
Stir in kidney beans, diced tomatoes, and tomato sauce, mixing well.
Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or high for 4-5 hours.
Stir before serving and adjust seasonings as needed.
