au jus gravy mix

ranch dressing mix (optional)

Worcestershire sauce

provolone cheese (or cheese of choice)

Instructions
Place the beef chuck roast in the crockpot and sprinkle the ranch dressing mix (if using) over it.
Distribute the au jus gravy mix over the beef.
Pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, then scatter the sliced onions around the beef.
Cover and cook on low for 7-8 hours or high for 4-5 hours.
Once cooked, remove the beef from the crockpot and shred it using two forks.
Toast the French rolls or hoagie buns, then fill them with the shredded beef.
Top each sandwich with a slice of provolone cheese. Optionally, place them under the broiler for a minute to melt the cheese.
Serve with a small bowl of the au jus from the crockpot for dipping.
