  • 1/4 cup honey Maple syrup can be substituted
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon Consider adding nutmeg for extra flavor
  • Salt and pepper to taste Season according to preference

Preparation

  • Peel the carrots and cut them into even slices.
  • Arrange the sliced carrots in a single layer in the crockpot.
  • In a separate bowl, mix together the brown sugar, melted butter, honey, cinnamon, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  • Pour the glaze over the sliced carrots and gently stir to ensure they are well coated.

Cooking

  • Cover the crockpot with its lid and set it to cook on low heat for about 4 to 5 hours.
  • Check the carrots occasionally to prevent overcooking and stir gently before serving.
