Ingredients
  

Meatballs

  • 1 pound ground beef or meatballs of your choice Form into small meatballs if using ground beef.

Honey Garlic Sauce

  • 1 cup honey Use good quality honey for best flavor.
  • ½ cup soy sauce Can be substituted with teriyaki sauce.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Freshly minced garlic is recommended.
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional) For thickening the sauce, if desired.
  • 1 tablespoon water (optional) To prepare cornstarch slurry for thickening.
  • to taste salt and pepper Adjust based on preference.
  • to garnish chopped green onions For serving and garnish.

Preparation

  • If using ground beef, form it into small meatballs, approximately the size of golf balls. If using frozen or store-bought meatballs, skip this step.
  • In a medium mixing bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic. Add cornstarch if a thicker sauce is desired, and stir until fully combined.

Cooking

  • Layer the prepared meatballs at the bottom of your crockpot and pour the honey garlic mixture over them, ensuring they are evenly coated.
  • Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours or on high for 2 to 3 hours, until the meatballs are tender.
  • If a thicker sauce is desired, mix cornstarch with water in a small bowl and add it to the crockpot during the last 30 minutes of cooking.

Serving

  • Once cooked, remove the lid and stir the meatballs gently with a spoon. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
