  • 1/2 cup honey Adjust sweetness to taste.
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard Can increase for a tangier flavor.
  • 1/4 cup whole grain mustard
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Spray the slow cooker with a light coating of non-stick cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  • In a bowl, whisk together honey, Dijon mustard, whole grain mustard, olive oil, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, thyme, and apple cider vinegar until well combined.
  • Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker without overcrowding.
  • Pour the honey-mustard mixture over the chicken breasts, ensuring they are thoroughly coated.

Cooking

  • Cover the slow cooker and set it to cook on low for 6 to 7 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours.
  • Check that the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F (75°C). The chicken should be tender and easy to shred with a fork.
  • For added richness, stir the sauce after removing the chicken before serving.
