Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs thinly sliced beef (sirloin or ribeye) Choose high-quality, well-marbled beef for the best texture.
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 each red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 each green bell pepper, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth To keep everything moist while cooking.
  • Salt, to taste Adjust according to personal taste.
  • Pepper, to taste Adjust according to personal taste.
  • 8 slices provolone cheese Add at the end for melting.
  • Hoagie rolls or crusty bread, for serving

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Slice the beef into thin strips to ensure even cooking and flavor absorption.
  • Slice the onion and both bell peppers.
  • Mince the garlic.

Layering

  • Layer half of the sliced beef at the bottom of the crockpot.
  • Add a layer of sliced onions and bell peppers and sprinkle with minced garlic.
  • Repeat with the remaining ingredients.

Cooking

  • Pour the beef broth over the layered ingredients.
  • Season with salt and pepper.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours.

Finishing Touch

  • About 5 minutes before serving, place slices of provolone cheese on top to melt.

Serving

  • Serve the cheesesteak filling in hoagie rolls or on crusty bread. Allow guests to add toppings as desired.

Notes
