Crockpot Ravioli Lasagna

A delightful twist on traditional lasagna made with layers of frozen ravioli, rich meat sauce, and gooey cheese, all cooked slowly in a crockpot for a comforting meal.

Ingredients
  

Meat and Sauce

  • 1 pound ground beef or Italian sausage Choose your preferred meat for flavor
  • 2 cups marinara sauce Use a good-quality marinara for best flavor
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • to taste Salt and pepper Season to preference

Lasagna Layers

  • 1 package frozen ravioli (25 to 30 ounces) Frozen cheese ravioli suggested

Cheese Toppings

  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Brown the ground beef or Italian sausage in a skillet over medium heat, stirring continuously until fully cooked, about 5 to 7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  • Pour marinara sauce over the cooked meat and add Italian seasoning. Stir until fully combined.

Assembly

  • Layer half of the frozen ravioli at the bottom of the crockpot, covering the entire base.
  • Spread half of the meat sauce mixture over the ravioli, then sprinkle a third of the mozzarella cheese on top.
  • Repeat the layers: remaining ravioli, then rest of the meat sauce, finally topping with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.

Cooking

  • Cover the crockpot with a lid and set it to cook on low for 4 to 5 hours, until ravioli is heated through and cheese is melted.

Serving

  • Serve directly from the crockpot with a spatula or large spoon, allowing cheese to stretch as portions are plated.

Notes

Pairs well with a side salad or garlic bread. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3-5 days in the refrigerator or freeze for 2-3 months.
