Ingredients

  • 1 lb sausage (your choice) Choose chicken, turkey, or beef for varied flavors.
  • 4 medium potatoes, diced Yukon Gold or red potatoes recommended for better texture.
  • 1 medium onion, chopped Adds sweetness and depth.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For drizzling over the mixture.
  • to taste salt Adjust according to preference.
  • to taste pepper Adjust according to preference.

Optional Ingredients

  • herbs (such as thyme or rosemary) Can be used for added flavor.

Preparation

  • Prepare your crockpot. Place the diced potatoes evenly at the bottom.
  • Chop the onion and sprinkle it on top of the potatoes.
  • Slice the sausage into bite-sized pieces and add it on top of the onions and potatoes.
  • Drizzle olive oil over the mixture and sprinkle salt and pepper to taste.
  • Add any optional herbs for extra flavor.
  • Gently stir to combine all ingredients.

Cooking

  • Cover the crockpot with the lid and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours.

Serving

  • Serve directly onto plates, or let everyone help themselves from the crockpot.
  • Pair with salad or crusty bread to soak up the juices.
