  • 1 lb ground beef 80/20 ground beef is recommended for flavor.
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 cup diced onion
  • 1 cup diced bell pepper
  • 1 can (about 14.5 oz) diced tomatoes Include juices for moisture.
  • 1 cup beef broth Can substitute with chicken broth or water.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Gather all ingredients in one place.
  • Add ground beef to slow cooker.
  • Sprinkle taco seasoning over the beef.
  • Add diced onion and bell pepper.
  • Pour in canned diced tomatoes with their juices.
  • Add beef broth to the mixture.
  • Gently stir to combine all ingredients.
  • Cover the slow cooker and cook on high for 4 hours or low for 7-8 hours.

Finishing

  • After cooking, shred the beef with a fork and mix with other ingredients.
  • Serve hot with toppings as desired.
