  • 1 pound beef stew meat, cut into chunks Choose good-quality, well-marbled meat.
  • 4 cups beef broth Homemade broth adds more depth.
  • 2 cups chopped vegetables (e.g. carrots, celery, potatoes, green beans) Customization based on preference is encouraged.
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • to taste salt and pepper Adjust according to preference.

Preparation

  • Wash, peel, and chop your vegetables.
  • Cut the beef stew meat into bite-sized chunks.

Cooking

  • Place the beef stew meat at the bottom of the crockpot.
  • Pour in the beef broth over the beef chunks.
  • Add your chopped vegetables on top.
  • Mix in the chopped onion and minced garlic.
  • Add the diced tomatoes with their juices, Worcestershire sauce, and Italian seasoning, along with salt and pepper.
  • Stir well to ensure everything is coated.
  • Cover the crockpot and set to cook on high for 3 to 4 hours or low for 6 to 8 hours.
  • Check for doneness; beef should be tender and vegetables cooked through.
  • Ladle the soup into bowls and enjoy hot.
