Ingredients
  

Casserole Base

  • 2-3 cups shredded cooked chicken Use rotisserie or baked chicken
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup sour cream or mayonnaise Choose based on preference
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth

Stuffing

  • 1 box (6 oz) stuffing mix Choose traditional or cornbread flavor
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter For topping

Seasoning

  • Salt and pepper To taste

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter.
  • In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, sour cream or mayonnaise, and chicken broth. Stir until well blended.
  • Spread the creamy chicken mixture evenly into the baking dish.
  • Prepare the stuffing according to the package instructions but use slightly less water to ensure a fluffy texture.
  • Spoon the prepared stuffing over the chicken mixture, covering it evenly.
  • Drizzle melted butter over the stuffing.

Baking

  • Bake uncovered in the preheated oven for about 35-40 minutes, or until golden and bubbly.
  • Let it rest for about 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

For different flavors, consider adding sautéed vegetables, cheese, or various stuffing types. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days in the fridge or freeze for 2-3 months.
