  • 4 pieces chicken breasts Pound to even thickness if thick
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour Mixed with spices
  • 2 large eggs Beaten until smooth
  • 2 cups breadcrumbs Can use panko for extra crunch
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • as needed for frying cooking oil Approximately ½ inch in the pan

Preparation

  • Prepare chicken breasts by pounding them to even thickness if they are thick.
  • Set up three shallow bowls: one with flour mixed with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika; one with beaten eggs; and one with breadcrumbs.
  • Dip each chicken breast into the flour mixture, coating it thoroughly and shaking off any excess.
  • Next, dip the floured chicken into the eggs, allowing any excess to drip off.
  • Finally, coat the chicken in the breadcrumbs, pressing gently to ensure they adhere well.

Cooking

  • In a large frying pan, heat about ½ inch of cooking oil over medium heat.
  • Once the oil is hot, carefully add the breaded chicken breasts.
  • Cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the chicken is golden brown and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  • Remove the chicken from the pan and place it on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb excess oil.
  • Serve warm.

Notes
