Ingredients
  

For the Bread

  • 8 ounces cream cheese (softened) Make sure it's at room temperature for easier mixing.
  • 3 pieces eggs (at room temperature) Bringing them to room temperature improves blending.
  • 14.25 ounces white cake mix
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/3 cup red and green jimmies sprinkles Use gently to maintain their shape.
  • 2 cups powdered sugar (whisked or sifted) For the glaze.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Essential for flavor in the glaze.
  • 4-6 tablespoons heavy cream (or milk) Adjust for desired glaze consistency.
  • 1-2 pinches salt Enhances overall flavor.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease two 8x4 inch loaf pans with baking spray.
  • In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and eggs with an electric mixer on medium speed for 2-3 minutes until creamy.
  • Add the white cake mix and vegetable oil, mixing on low speed for 30 seconds, then increase to medium-high and mix for 2 minutes until smooth.
  • Gently fold in the red and green jimmies sprinkles.
  • Divide the batter between the two prepared pans, smoothing the tops with a spatula.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes. Check for doneness with a toothpick; it should come out clean.
  • Allow the loaves to cool in the pans for 10 minutes before turning them out onto a wire rack to cool completely.

Glazing

  • For the glaze, mix the sifted powdered sugar, vanilla extract, 4 tablespoons of heavy cream, and a pinch of salt until smooth.
  • Drizzle the glaze over the cooled loaves and let it set for 10-15 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for 3-4 days; can also be refrigerated or frozen for longer shelf life. For variations, you can substitute almond extract in the glaze, or play with different types of cake mix.
