Ingredients
  

Bread Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour (spooned and leveled)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Cinnamon Sugar Topping

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan with butter.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, 1/2 cup of sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Whisk until thoroughly mixed.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Gently fold the wet ingredients into the dry mixture, mixing just until no dry flour remains.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  • In a small bowl, mix the remaining 1/2 cup of sugar with 1 tablespoon of ground cinnamon for the topping.
  • Brush the top of the batter with the remaining melted butter and sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture over it.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  • Remove from oven and let the bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For added flavor, consider adding a pinch of nutmeg to the cinnamon-sugar topping. This bread can be stored at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerated for about a week. For longer storage, freeze it tightly wrapped for up to three months.
