Ingredients
  

Cookie Base

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened Ensure butter is at room temperature for best texture.
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour Use the spoon-and-level method to measure flour.
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups Hershey’s chocolate chips Feel free to substitute with other types of chocolate chips.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  • Add in the vanilla extract and eggs, mixing until fully incorporated.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually blend the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, mixing just until combined.
  • Fold in the Hershey’s chocolate chips.
  • Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets about 2 inches apart.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 9 to 11 minutes or until the edges turn golden brown.
  • Remove the cookies from the oven and allow them to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
