Ingredients
  

For the dough and filling

  • 2 packages refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened Ensure cream cheese is softened for easy mixing
  • 1 cup powdered sugar For the filling
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup granulated sugar For sprinkling on top of the filling
  • 1 egg for egg wash Gives the cake a golden color

For the icing and decoration

  • 1 cup powdered sugar For icing
  • 2-3 tsp milk For icing consistency
  • Purple, green, and gold sugar sprinkles For decoration

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, 1 cup powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  • Unroll one package of crescent roll dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, pressing seams together to form a rectangle.
  • Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the dough, leaving a small edge around the sides.
  • Sprinkle the granulated sugar over the cream cheese filling.
  • Unroll the second package of crescent roll dough and place it over the filling, pressing the edges to seal.
  • Use a sharp knife to slice the dough into a ring by cutting slits along the edges. Twist the dough segments slightly to create a decorative effect.
  • Beat the egg and brush it over the top of the dough to give it a nice golden color when baked.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Meanwhile, prepare the icing by mixing 1 cup powdered sugar with 2-3 tsp milk until smooth and desired consistency is reached.

Finishing Touches

  • Once the cake cools, drizzle the icing over the top and then sprinkle purple, green, and gold sugar decorations for a festive touch.
