  • 1 can (10-ounce) diced tomatoes with green chilies Use canned for convenience
  • 1 block (8-ounce) cream cheese Softened for easier mixing
  • 1 pound ground beef or turkey Choose your preferred protein
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese Can substitute with other cheeses
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • to taste Salt and pepper Adjust based on preference

Preparation

  • In a large skillet, brown the ground beef or turkey over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
  • Add the cream cheese to the skillet and stir until melted and well combined with the meat.
  • Pour in the can of diced tomatoes with green chilies and mix until everything is heated through.
  • Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Keep stirring until the cheese is melted and the dip is smooth.
  • Once fully combined, remove from heat and transfer to a serving dish or slow cooker to keep warm.

Notes

Experiment with different cheeses or toppings such as jalapeños for added flavor. Can be made ahead of time and stored in the fridge.
