Ingredients
  

For the chicken

  • 3-4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for sautéing Olive oil or vegetable oil recommended

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Season the chicken breasts with a generous amount of salt and pepper.
  • Heat some oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the diced onions and minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 3-4 minutes until soft and fragrant.
  • Brown the seasoned chicken breasts in the skillet for about five minutes on each side until golden.

Sauce Preparation

  • Mix cream of mushroom soup, low-sodium soy sauce, and chicken broth in a separate bowl.

Cooking

  • Pour the sauce over the browned chicken, cover the skillet, and let it simmer on low for about 10 minutes until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.

Serving

  • Serve the smothered chicken hot, drizzling some of the creamy sauce over it.

Notes
