  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened Ensure butter is at room temperature.
  • 1 cup brown sugar Light or dark, based on preference.
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs Room temperature is best.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Adds depth of flavor.
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups white chocolate chips

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened unsalted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt, then whisk together.
  • Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  • Fold in the white chocolate chips gently.
  • Use a rounded tablespoon to scoop dough onto ungreased cookie sheets, leaving enough space between each scoop.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes, or until edges are golden and centers are slightly underdone.
  • Allow cookies to cool on the sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
