For the Brownies

  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips Use high-quality dark chocolate chips for the best flavor.
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt Plain, unsweetened Greek yogurt works best.
  • 3 large eggs Make sure they're at room temperature.
  • 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup Natural sweeteners can be adjusted based on preference.
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder Sifted for consistent mixing.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Enhances the flavor.
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda Gives the brownies a light rise.
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt Balances sweetness.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8x8-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the dark chocolate chips in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each interval until smooth.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, eggs, honey (or maple syrup), and vanilla extract. Whisk until fully blended.
  • Slowly add the melted chocolate to the yogurt mixture, stirring until combined.
  • Sift in the cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.

Baking

  • Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the edges are set and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  • Allow the brownies to cool in the baking dish for at least 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Once cooled, cut into squares and enjoy!

Notes
