large shrimp
thawed, peeled, deveined

buttermilk

cup
all-purpose flour

teaspoon
paprika

teaspoon
garlic powder

onion powder

teaspoon
kosher salt

teaspoon
black pepper
1/4
teaspoon
cayenne pepper
Vegetable oil
for frying

Instructions
In a medium bowl, marinate the shrimp in buttermilk for at least 15 minutes at room temperature.
In another bowl, combine flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, kosher salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
Heat vegetable oil in a large pot to about 350°F.
Remove shrimp from buttermilk, allowing excess to drip off, and dredge in the seasoned flour mixture.
Carefully place shrimp in hot oil, frying in batches for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
Use a slotted spoon to transfer fried shrimp to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
Serve immediately with lemon wedges and your favorite dipping sauces.
