Frozen Yogurt Pops

Deliciously creamy frozen yogurt pops made with fresh fruits, perfect for a healthier treat on hot days.

Ingredients
  

For the yogurt mixture

  • 2 cups plain or flavored yogurt Full-fat or low-fat yogurt can be used.
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen fruit (like berries, mango, or banana) Fresh fruits should be chopped; frozen fruits should be thawed.
  • 2-4 tablespoons honey or maple syrup Adjust sweetness according to taste.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Optional for additional flavor.
  • a pinch salt

For assembling

  • Small popsicle molds or paper cups Sticks for popsicles are needed as well.

Preparation

  • Wash and prepare your fruit. If using fresh fruits, chop them into small pieces. If using frozen fruits, let them thaw for a few minutes.
  • In a blender, combine the yogurt, prepared fruit, honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract (if using), and a pinch of salt. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  • Taste the mixture and adjust sweetness by adding more honey or maple syrup if needed.
  • Pour the yogurt mixture into popsicle molds or paper cups, filling them about 3/4 full.
  • Insert sticks into the center of each mold or cup.
  • Place the molds in the freezer and let them freeze for at least 4-6 hours, or until completely solid.
  • To remove the pops from the molds, run warm water over the outside for a few seconds and gently pull the pops out.

Notes

Serve with a side of fresh fruit or a drizzle of honey/maple syrup. For added fun, sprinkle with chopped nuts or granola. You can also dip the pops halfway in melted chocolate before freezing for a decadent treat.
