Ingredients
  

For the cookie dough

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened Ensure butter is soft but not melted.
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs Add eggs one at a time.
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour Whisk together with baking soda and salt.
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup colorful sprinkles
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips (optional) Can substitute with mini chocolate chips.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, ensuring each is well incorporated before adding the next. Mix in the vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  • Gently fold in the colorful sprinkles and white chocolate chips if you’re using them.
  • Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  • Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for about 5 minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

To enhance flavor, you may chill the dough for at least 30 minutes before baking. Store cookies in an airtight container for up to a week.
