  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons fish sauce
  • 0.25 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper

Noodle Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 8 cloves garlic, minced
  • 6 ounces spaghetti
  • 0.25 cup finely grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese
  • 1 tablespoon chopped green onion or to taste
  • 1 pinch red pepper flakes

Preparation

  • Gather all ingredients for smooth cooking.
  • Combine soy sauce, oyster sauce, Worcestershire sauce, fish sauce, sesame oil, and cayenne pepper in a small bowl to create the sauce.

Cooking

  • Melt unsalted butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Add minced garlic and sauté for about one minute until fragrant but not browned.
  • Stir in the sauce mixture and let it simmer to blend flavors.
  • In a separate pot, boil water and cook spaghetti according to package instructions, typically around 12 minutes.
  • Before draining, reserve about a cup of pasta water.
  • Drain spaghetti and add it to the skillet with garlic sauce, tossing to coat.
  • Gradually mix in Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese and reserved pasta water to reach desired consistency.
  • Garnish with chopped green onions and red pepper flakes, then serve immediately.
