  • 1 cup Greek yogurt Full-fat or whole-fat for creaminess.
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips High-quality chocolate for best flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup Adjust sweetness as desired.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Can substitute with almond or peppermint extract for variation.
  • a pinch salt

  • to taste whipped cream For additional creaminess.

Preparation

  • Start by melting the dark chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat the chocolate in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth. Be careful not to overheat.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the Greek yogurt, honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract, and pinch of salt until smooth and creamy.
  • Pour the melted chocolate into the yogurt mixture. Gently fold the chocolate in using a spatula or whisk until fully combined; do not deflate the mixture.
  • Taste the mousse and adjust sweetness by adding more honey or syrup if desired.
  • Transfer the mousse into individual serving dishes or a large bowl. Cover with plastic wrap or a lid.
  • Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to one hour to set and enhance flavors.
  • Serve chilled and enjoy!

Notes

Store leftover mousse in airtight containers in the refrigerator for up to a week. For longer storage, consider freezing; however, the texture may change slightly upon thawing.
