Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Lightly grease a baking dish with non-stick spray or butter.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine cornmeal, all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir until well blended.
  • In another bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, and melted butter until smooth.
  • Gradually pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined.
  • Fold in the shredded cheddar cheese and diced green chiles.
  • Transfer the batter into the greased baking dish, spreading it out evenly.

Baking

  • Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before slicing.
