Grinch Brownies
These whimsical Grinch Brownies are a festive treat combining rich chocolate and minty flavors, perfect for holiday gatherings.
Ingredients
Brownie Base Ingredients
- 1 box 1 box of brownie mix (9×13 size) Use your favorite brownie mix.
- 26 pieces 26 Mint Oreo cookies, chopped Chop into quarters.
Ganache Ingredients
- 2 cups 2 cups white chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 teaspoon 1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract
- 4 drops 4 drops leaf green food coloring For a festive touch.
Decoration Ingredients
- Red hots candies for decoration To be sprinkled on top.
Instructions
Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Line a 9×13 baking dish with parchment paper.
- Prepare the brownie mix according to the package instructions.
- Chop 16 Mint Oreo cookies into quarters and fold them into the brownie batter.
Baking
- Spread the brownie batter evenly in the prepared baking dish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes, until set but soft in the middle.
- Allow brownies to cool on a wire rack.
Making the Ganache
- In a saucepan, bring water to a gentle simmer.
- Place a heat-safe bowl over the simmering water and add white chocolate chips and heavy cream.
- Stir until the chocolate is melted and the mixture is smooth.
- Remove from heat and stir in peppermint extract and leaf green food coloring.
Finishing Touches
- Pour the green ganache over the cooled brownies.
- Sprinkle the remaining chopped Mint Oreos and red hots candies on top.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour to set the ganache.
