  • 1 pound ground beef High-quality ground beef is recommended.
  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved Try to use fresh Brussels sprouts.
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For sautéing.
  • salt and pepper to taste Adjust to your preference.
  • 1 teaspoon paprika Optional, adds extra flavor.

Cooking

  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet and sauté until translucent, about 3 to 4 minutes.
  • Increase the heat to medium-high and add the ground beef, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until no pink remains, about 5 to 7 minutes.
  • Add salt, pepper, and paprika (if using) to the cooked beef and stir well to combine.
  • Stir in the trimmed and halved Brussels sprouts, ensuring they are coated in the mixture.
  • Cover the skillet and cook for 10 to 15 minutes, stirring occasionally until the Brussels sprouts are tender but still have a bit of bite.
  • Serve hot, optionally garnished with fresh herbs.

Notes
