Ingredients
  

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika optional
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1 teaspoon bouillon powder
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 small head cabbage chopped
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium beef broth
  • 1 cup carrots julienned or grated
  • parsley for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, sautéing until softened.
  • Add the diced tomatoes and cook for about 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Introduce the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it up as it cooks until browned.
  • Stir in the paprika, thyme, salt, white pepper, bouillon powder, and Worcestershire sauce.
  • Add the chopped cabbage and fold it into the mixture, cooking for about 5 minutes until it starts to wilt.
  • Incorporate the carrots and pour in the beef broth, allowing the mixture to simmer for another 5 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.
