These ground beef burritos are the perfect comfort food for any day. Simple to make, flavorful, and easy to customize, they’re ideal for a quick dinner or a crowd-pleaser!

1smallonionfinely chopped

1tspground cumin
1tspsmoked paprika
1tspchili powder
1/2tspdried oregano

6-8largeflour tortillas
1 1/2cupsshredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese
1cupcooked riceoptional
1cupcanned black beansdrained and rinsed

Instructions
Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, sauté until fragrant and soft. Add the ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
Stir in cumin, smoked paprika, chili powder, oregano, salt, and pepper. Add tomato sauce and beef broth (if using). Let simmer for 5-10 minutes.
While the beef mixture simmers, warm the tortillas. You can heat them in a dry skillet or microwave them wrapped in a damp towel.
To assemble the burritos, lay each tortilla flat. Add a layer of rice, black beans, a generous spoonful of beef mixture, and cheese. Top with sour cream, guacamole, and other desired toppings.
Fold in the sides of the tortilla and roll tightly. If you prefer a crispy burrito, toast them seam-side down in a hot skillet for 1-2 minutes per side.
